DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SPEAKER PROFILES: \nDr Michael Magoha \nMichael Magoha is a Neurological Surgeon and Lecturer at the University of Nairobi. \nHe is the current secretary General of the Brain Tumour Association of Kenya. He has multiple publications in Neuro-oncology\, World Neurosurgery and East Africa Journal of Neurological Sciences amongst others. \nDr Magoha was part of the team instrumental in starting the first Multicentre Brain Tumour Registry in Kenya that is still ongoing. \nDr Mary S. Limbe \nMary S. Limbe is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Endocrinologist at the Aga Khan University Hospital\, Nairobi. \nShe is Faculty on the post-graduate medical programme at the Aga Khan University\, Nairobi\, department of Paediatrics and child health. She is a tutor on the endocrinology Fellowship programme:  Panadrica Endocrinology Training Centre for Africa (PETCA). \nDr Limbe is also actively involved in Paediatric resuscitation programmes (EPALS)\, as instructor\, course director and trainer of trainers. \nHer main areas of interest include Child Growth and Development and Type 1 Diabetes. \nDr. Bernadette Muthee – Kiigu \nBernadette Muthee-Kiigu is a Consultant Radiologist and Specialist in Pediatric Imaging at Aga Khan University\,Nairobi. \nShe holds a Bachelor of Medicine\, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Nairobi and MMED Rad from Aga Khan University\, Nairobi. She completed Pediatric Radiology Fellowship from The British Columbia University\, BC Children’s Hospital\, Canada. She is passionate about optimization of radiation protection in pediatric imaging and optimization of Pediatric MRI protocols. \nDr Bernadette is an active member of the Society for Pediatric Imaging\, a corresponding member of European Society of Radiology\, Member of Kenya Association of Radiologists\, and member of KenyaSociety of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. \nShe is passionate about pediatric neuroimaging\, and currently with ongoing work on strategies of improving and enhancing pediatric imaging in Kenya. \nModerator: Dr Beverly Cheserem \nBeverly Cheserem is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Aga Khan University Hospital​\, Nairobi​\nDr Cheserem has a sub-specialty interest in skull base surgery and pituitary\, both microsurgical and endoscopic techniques. Her other interests include global health\, teaching\, and clinical research. \nPrior to joining AKUHN\, Dr Cheserem was a Weill Cornell Global Health Fellow based at Muhumbili Orthopaedic Institute\, Tanzania. She has also been a Skull base Fellow\, University Hospital of Wales\, and Consultant Neurosurgeon\, Brighton and Sussex University Hospital\, UK. \nIn addition\, Dr Cheserem has completed rotations in various University hospitals in the UK.
