DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SPEAKER PROFILES: \nDr Helena Musau\nHelena Musau is a Consultant Clinical/Radiation Oncologist and Head of the Oncology Department at Kenyatta University Teaching Research and Referral Hospital. \nShe is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Nairobi\, Radiation Oncology program. \nShe is a member of various Ministry of Health technical working groups aimed at improving access to cancer care in Kenya.\nDr Helena is the first recipient of the Leadership Program of Women in Oncology by the City Cancer Challenge Foundation and ASCO. She serves in the International Education Steering Group at ASCO and is a member of the Public Policy Committee at ESMO. \nDr Musau is the current Secretary for the Kenya Society of Haematology and Oncology. \nDr Samuel N.K. Waweru\nS. N. K. Waweru is a Consulting Urologist at the Nairobi Hospital\, Mater Hospital among others. He is formerly the chair\, Department of Surgery at the Mater Hospital. \nHe holds a Master’s from the University of Nairobi\, urology training from KCMC Moshi\, Tanzania. \nHis interests are in prostatic cancer and urolithiasis. \nDr Musila Mutala (Moderator)\nMusila Mutala is a Consultant Radiologist and Cancer Imaging Specialist\, and a lecturer in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Medicine at the University of Nairobi. \nHe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s in Radiology from the same institution. He also holds a Master’s in Oncologic Imaging from the University of Pisa\, Italy. \nDr Mutala practices in General Radiology and Cancer Imaging. He has voluminous experience in Gastrointestinal\, Hepatobiliary\, Genitourinary and Gynecologic tumors. \nHis research interests are in Oncologic Imaging\, Diagnostic Tests Accuracy and Radiology Education. \nDr Mutala has published several articles in local and international peer reviewed journals. He has presented papers in local and international radiology and oncology conferences\, some with awards.
