Mr. Asige is a multidisciplinary healthcare professional with extensive experience in radiation therapy, ultrasonography, radiography, health systems management, and public health. His work spans cancer care, imaging sciences, oncology operations, and system-level improvement across leading healthcare institutions in Kenya.
At The Nairobi Hospital, he contributes to coordinated cancer care through active participation in weekly Multidisciplinary Tumor Board meetings, where specialists review complex cases and refine treatment plans. He also supports oncology quality improvement by strengthening radiotherapy operations, improving treatment pathways, and promoting collaborative, patient-centered care.
Beyond the hospital, Mr. Asige is committed to expanding equitable access to cancer services in Kenya. He has supported alignment between national financing reforms, including SHIF and SHA, and oncology delivery at The Nairobi Hospital to help reduce financial barriers and improve continuity of care. He has also contributed to national cancer guidelines and protocols that inform standards of practice across the country.
Mr. Asige holds a Master of Science in Public Health, a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management, a Diploma in Radiation Therapy, and a Higher Diploma in Ultrasonography. He is a member of the Kenya Society of Hematology and Oncology (KESHO), the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), and the African Organization for Research and Training in Oncology (AORTIC), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and global oncology collaboration.
