Prof Walter O. Mwanda
Prof Walter Mwanda Is a Professor of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, qualified as a Medical Doctor MBCHB, postgraduate training in Pathology specialized in Haematology and Blood Transfusion and Oncology.
Prof Mwanda attained terminal degree of doctor of Medicine in haematology. In 1992 he joined the Faculty at the University of Nairobi; Haematology and Blood Transfusion that also runs Oncology services for the Kenyatta National Hospital – the largest teaching and referral hospital in the region. Has been the Chairman of the Department of Human Pathology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion and Director at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease.
Prof Mwanda Is a member and Chair of several professional bodies both national and international. He is widely published in oncology and haematology with pitch in haematology, blood transfusion, paediatrics oncology and infections related malignancies. Prof Mwanda has supervised several students at undergraduate, masters and PhD levels.
He is a keen researcher in oncology, haematology and allied specialties. Has been the Head of Paediatric Oncology since 1994 and greatly experienced as lecturer, medical doctor, researcher and mentor.
Prof Mwanda is keen on producing generations of mentors, supervisors and trainers in all areas of interest.

Paresh Dave is currently the Director and Clinical Pathologist and Hematology/Oncology practitioner at Meditest/Mediforte Hospital.
He is an Honorary Lecturer in Haematology and Blood Transfusion University in the Thematic department of Haematology and Oncology College of Health Sciences University of Nairobi.
Dr Dave qualified with MBChB degree in 1988 and M.Med (Path) in 1994 both from the University of Nairobi. He obtained his Fellowship at the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (Haematology) in 2005. Dr Dave worked at Monash Medical Centre and Dandenong Hospital Australia for 2 years (2000-2002) as a Registrar, and at Kenyatta National Hospital from 1995 to 2005 as a Medical Specialist and Senior Medical Specialist in haematology. Between 2005 and 2012 Dr Dave worked as Pathologist in Charge and Clinical haematologist at the M.P Shah Hospital, and went on to join Medanta Nairobi as Haematologist and Oncologist from 2012 to 2016.
Dr Dave has keen interest in Luekaemias, Myelomas and solid malignancies
