Another busy month for us with three meetings in October. First off, Prof Asim Jamal Medical Oncologist gave an excellent overview of presentation, diagnosis and management of neuroendocrine tumors which are not as rare as originally felt. KESHO then partnered with Pathologists Lancet Kenya to discuss molecular diagnostics in hemato-oncology. Speakers from France and our very own experts deliberated on the changing landscape of hemato-oncology and what is practical in our setting. Finally, a multidisciplinary webinar session on breast cancer concluded our sessions for the month in recognition of the Breast Cancer Awareness month, with presentations from Dr. Gladwell Kiarie Medical Oncologist, Dr. Fred Okuku Medical Oncologist, Dr. Aba Anoa Scott Radiation/Clinical Oncologist and Prof. Ronald Wasike Breast Surgeon.
