Gladys is a specialist Palliative care Nurse with a bachelor of science in palliative care from Makerere university- Uganda and a post graduate diploma from Cardiff University- UK. She holds a higher diploma in counseling psychology in medical health setting and a certificate in trainer of trainers (TOT) in End-of-life Nursing Continuum, Trained by the ELNC- USA.
Gladys has a vast experience in palliative care and counseling after working at different departments of KNH and also in private consultations. She is a co-founder and a former National treasurer of the Oncology Nurses chapter-Kenya, a chapter under National Nurses Association of Kenya (NNAK).
She currently coordinates patients care at Cancer treatment center-KNH under Patient Navigation Program, a program in KNH sponsored by the American Cancer Society which has greatly improved care delivery and quality of life of patients with cancer.
