Kenya Opens First Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Centre

Kenya has reached a major milestone in child health with the launch of its first paediatric bone marrow transplant centre, a KSh 200 million facility now operational in Nairobi.

The center will provide advanced treatment for children with leukemia, aplastic anaemia and other serious blood disorders conditions that have long required families to travel abroad for care.

This milestone strengthens the country’s capacity for paediatric oncology and haematology services and marks an important step toward expanding access to specialized care for children with complex conditions.
