Dr Salat is a health care provider with 8 years of experience as a Medical Officer and Consultant Clinical And Radiation Oncologist with a keen interest in optimizing cancer diagnosis and multidisciplinary cancer management in accordance with the most recent evidence-based treatment recommendations.
He holds a Master’s Degree In Clinical Oncology from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences. Dr Salat is now a Senior Registrar in Clinical and Radiation oncologist working with Marsabit County in Kenya, visiting oncologists at HCG CCK Cancer Centre and Meru Doctors Plaza.
Dr Salat is a firm believer that every cancer patient, as well as their family, is unique and has specific needs, he strives to develop a treatment plan that is specifically tailored for every one of his patients to help them get the best outcome.
He is passionate about cancer research, newer treatment modalities available, supportive care offered to cancer patients, advocacy for cancer care equity in low and middle-income countries, culturally based cancer care, and patient education.
Dr Salat is an active member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
