Dr. Mukuhi Ng’ang’a is a Breast Surgical Oncologist with advanced training from Maimonides Medical Center in New York, where she completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from the University of Edinburgh and an MMed (Hons) in General Surgery from the University of Cape Town. She is a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa and earned her MBChB from the University of Nairobi.
Her clinical and academic interests span breast cancer care, women’s health and medical education, reflecting a strong commitment to both patient outcomes and the training of future healthcare professionals. Dr. Ng’ang’a is an active member of several professional bodies, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Surgical Society of Oncology (SSO), the Surgical Society of Kenya (SSK) and the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).
She also serves as faculty at Aga Khan University’s Medical College, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. As part of the KICC 2026 committee, she brings a valuable perspective at the intersection of surgical oncology, education and multidisciplinary cancer care.
