Traceyann is a registered and licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, with an experience of more than 8yrs practicing nutrition. She is currently studying a master’s Program in Management, Organization, and Development at the United States International University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Mount Kenya University and a postgraduate in Pediatric Nutrition from Boston University. She started her practice in Thika Level V hospital and progressed to Kenyatta University, Referral, and Research Hospital where she is currently the Head of the Oncology Nutrition Section.
Traceyann was one of the key speakers at the 1st annual health conference in KUTRRH on Optimizing African Multidisciplinary Cancer Care, in July 2022, and at the Nutrition Symposium on Emerging Trends in Oncology nutrition in November 2022. She has worked in a variety of clinical and community nutrition areas. In her journey in Nutrition, she has been able to attain several certifications from the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism in nutrition support in cancer, communication skills for healthcare, and nutrition support in Neurological diseases.
She works side-by-side with doctors in a Multidisciplinary team, helping to care for patients who are fighting malignancies. Additionally, she works with radiation oncologists to care for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She is a true believer in the prevention of malnutrition for cancer patients and is a passionate advocate for nutrition as a right for all.
