SPEAKER PROFILES:

Dr Justin Du Toit 
Justin Du Toit is a Clinical Haematologist who trained at UCT and now works in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre.

He is currently working with his colleagues to implement quality management systems in adult and paediatric bone marrow transplantation that will be JACIE-FACT accredited.

Dr Du Toit’s main focus and passion is in bone marrow transplant. He is actively involved in research on haematopoietic stem cell mobilisation, haploidentical stem cell transplantation and donor specific antibodies. Through his research efforts, Dr Du Toit strives towards creating best care algorithms to improve patient outcomes.

Moderator: Dr Beatrice Jepngetich Melly 
Beatrice Melly is a Clinical Haematologist at Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Moi University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Haematology from Alexandria University, Egypt.

Dr Melly is also the Section Head for Haematology at the Haemato-Oncology Directorate at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.

She has over 8 years’ experience in treatment of both benign and malignant Haematological conditions.
